Ethel Cain

Ethel Cain is truly her own genre. She has some of the most unique, haunting, and personal songs I have had the fortune of hearing. She is a prime example of finding horror and beauty in the music you listen to, and her pieces are impactful every single time you listen.

My favorite song from her is more of an experience than just a song. Pulldrone by Ethel Cain is a 15 minute piece of beautifully droning notes and a sense of foreboding that leaves me hypnotized every time I listen. I used this piece for one of my school projects, which likely left my English teacher with some questions, but I did end up with a 90/100 on the assignment.

My other favorites from her are Gibson Girl, Punish, and Famous Last Words by 1017 ALYX 9SM featuring her (the latter two I also have used as the basis for an assignment.)
