Hozier

Hozier is easily my #1 favorite artist. Proud to say I've been a fan long before
his song "Too Sweet" went viral, and recently I've purchased merch from him that I am
extremely proud to own.
I don't really know exactly what about his music makes
me enjoy it so much, I think it's mostly the sheer range of sound he can perform with, as well as how poetic and, honestly,
gorgeous his lyricism is.
While I obviously don't want to dictate how anyone interprets artists and their content,
there is a certain elegance you have to allow them, and to some extent you have
to allow his work to stand with specific dignity and give it the stage it
needs to display the messages he conveys in his lyrics. His lyricism means a lot
to me and so, so many others, and diminishing his works and their efforts is, frankly,
incredibly disrespectful.

Gabriel Smales, Global Programme Director for Sounds Right at Museum for the United Nations – UN Live, said: “By inviting NATURE into this deeply personal song, Hozier is doing something extraordinary – he’s giving voice to the place that shaped him, while giving back to the planet that sustains us all. Since NATURE was launched as an official artist last year, millions have listened and directed real funding to communities protecting the planet’s most vital ecosystems.”
